Position Overview:
FULL TIME OPPORTUNITY


This is an onsite role requiring a commitment of five days a week in the office.


Salary:
$125,000 - $145,000 plus bonuses

Key Responsibilities:


We are in search of a proactive and highly qualified individual for the role of Assistant Controller within our expanding financial-health organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in top-tier public accounting firms and hold an active CPA designation.

This role is critical to our organization, providing a chance to contribute significantly to our ongoing success and expansion.

The Assistant Controller will report directly to the Corporate Controller and will oversee the daily operations of the finance department, ensuring adherence to accounting principles, practices, and procedures.


Specific Duties Include:

  • Support the preparation of financial documents, including statements and budget performance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant federal, state, and local regulations regarding financial and tax reporting.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls and effective accounting systems and policies for new business setups.
  • Manage the accounting department's operations, including designing an organizational structure that meets departmental goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the Controller and CFO to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Assist senior accounting leaders in presenting financial reports to executives, stakeholders, and board members.
  • Facilitate the implementation of new systems and procedures, ensuring compliance with SOX regulations.
  • Work with auditing services to ensure adherence to all regulations.
  • Develop budgets and financial strategies based on thorough research and data analysis.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a senior finance or accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including GAAP.
  • Familiarity with federal and state financial regulations.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports, statements, and forecasts.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting, including rolling budgets and product-line profitability analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate teams to produce quality work within tight deadlines while managing multiple projects.
  • Experience in facilitating group meetings.
  • Familiarity with automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
