Key Responsibilities:

Front Desk Management:

The Front Desk Manager is accountable for creating the monthly front desk schedule by the 15th of each month and ensuring adequate coverage for any absences. This role involves processing payroll and commissions for staff on a bi-weekly basis, organizing quarterly team-building events, and maintaining professional documentation in both print and digital formats to support effective training and ongoing communication.

Essential documents include daily/monthly pass-ons, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and the front desk training binder. Additionally, the manager will ensure that billing for RA classes is completed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.


Membership Management:

The Front Desk Manager will oversee the member onboarding process, which includes conducting property tours, uploading new contracts, and communicating with new members via phone and email. This role also involves answering inquiries and promoting additional services such as personal training and nutrition sessions.

Building strong member relationships through one-on-one interactions, networking events, and participation in programming is essential. The manager will contribute to newsletters and event programming to enhance the member experience.

Responsibilities also include conducting monthly bulk billing for memberships, managing unpaid accounts, applying late fees, and ensuring accurate billing and access for VIP and Corporate memberships.


Supervisory Duties:

The Front Desk Manager will be responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, coaching, and conducting fair performance evaluations for the front desk team.

This role includes performing Manager on Duty tasks, which involve maintaining a presence on the fitness floor, modeling exemplary customer service, addressing staff and guest concerns professionally, and supporting team members to ensure a high-functioning environment.

Utilizing problem-solving skills, the manager will identify issues and inefficiencies, develop solutions, and oversee their implementation. Regular property assessments will be conducted to address cleanliness and maintenance needs.


Minimum Qualifications:

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, along with a commitment to guest service. Effective problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude are essential.

Ideal candidates will be well-organized, possess excellent time-management skills, and be capable of delivering difficult messages with kindness and empathy. A bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field is preferred, along with two or more years of experience in guest service or management.
