The Role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and securing top-tier talent to fulfill the staffing requirements of a financial services trust organization. This position encompasses managing the complete recruitment cycle, from sourcing and interviewing candidates to making hiring recommendations. The specialist will collaborate closely with hiring managers and the HR team to ensure the organization attracts and retains high-caliber professionals who can contribute to business success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaboration with Hiring Managers: Work alongside hiring managers to comprehend specific staffing needs and job specifications within the industry. Provide support and guidance throughout the recruitment process.
  • Job Postings and Advertising: Develop targeted job descriptions and publish them on relevant job boards and the company’s career pages, ensuring advertisements are tailored to attract candidates with financial services backgrounds.
  • Talent Sourcing: Utilize various recruitment channels (job boards, social media, professional networks) to identify potential candidates with expertise in financial services. Build and maintain a network of industry contacts to aid in sourcing qualified candidates.
  • Candidate Screening and Interviewing: Evaluate resumes and applications to pinpoint candidates with relevant experience. Conduct initial phone screenings to assess qualifications, technical skills, and cultural fit. Coordinate and conduct in-person or virtual interviews.
  • Candidate Experience: Manage the candidate experience to ensure a positive and professional recruitment process. Maintain regular communication with candidates regarding their application status.
  • Database Management: Keep the applicant tracking system (ATS) updated with candidate information and recruitment activities, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Offer Management: Extend job offers to selected candidates and negotiate employment terms. Collaborate with the HR team to facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies. Prepare regular reports on recruitment activities and outcomes.
  • Special Projects: Collaborate with the Marketing team to enhance the Careers page on the company website and develop internship/Co-op programs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years of recruitment experience for positions ranging from entry-level to Director.
  • Experience in recruiting for roles in Asset Management/Trust/Investments/Financial Services is highly preferred. Technology recruitment experience is an advantage.
  • Proven sourcing techniques, including talent pipeline development and referral generation.
  • Strong consulting and client management skills; ability to collaborate and build effective relationships with hiring managers and external partners.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS); experience with ADP Recruit is a plus.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset to introduce best practices.
