Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Olympia School District. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in assessing students' communication skills, providing information for program development, and improving students' performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' communication skills to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other educational personnel to develop and implement individualized plans to improve students' communication skills.
  • Instruction and Intervention: Provide direct instruction and intervention to students to help them overcome speech and language deficits.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, including assessment results, treatment plans, and progress reports.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience: Prior experience working with students with communication disorders, preferably in a school setting.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong assessment and intervention skills, knowledge of relevant education codes, and ability to work independently.
