Key Responsibilities:

The primary role of a Server Assistant is to efficiently reset tables in accordance with the high standards of Hawkers Asian Street Fare as guests depart. Server Assistants are also tasked with maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant and its surroundings. Additionally, they support servers and service staff by providing refills and clearing tables promptly.

Essential Duties:
  • Receive service area assignments at the start of each shift.
  • Greet guests as they are seated and assist in delivering beverages as requested by the server.
  • Deliver food and drinks while clearing tables swiftly after guests leave.
  • Return tableware to the dish room and organize silverware, dishes, and glassware for washing.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tabletops, chairs, and booths between settings.
  • Respond to guest requests promptly and communicate these to the server.
  • Inspect and clean assigned restrooms every 15 minutes as necessary.
  • Welcome guests upon arrival and express gratitude as they leave, showcasing excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibit flexibility in scheduling to ensure smooth restaurant operations as directed by management.
  • Assist the Host with restroom maintenance and restocking duties.
  • Contribute to team efforts by performing ongoing side work throughout the shift.
  • Collaborate with team members and offer assistance whenever possible.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain Food Handlers Certification and adhere to OSHA and HACCP compliance standards.
  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach above shoulder level.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
Compensation:

$10 per hour plus tips
