About the Role

UB Greensfelder LLP is looking for a seasoned Chief Human Resources Officer to lead human resources functions firmwide. This key position will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and be based in the Cleveland or St. Louis office.

The successful candidate will bring significant experience in developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives, policies, and programs that drive business outcomes. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing benefit plans and compensation frameworks, developing policies, managing change initiatives, talent acquisition, succession planning, leadership development, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing a comprehensive human resources strategy aligned with the firm's overall business plan and organizational goals.
  • Leading the design and implementation of employee engagement initiatives, diversity and inclusion programs, and employee relations strategies.
  • Collaborating with department leaders to drive organizational development, address employee concerns, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of employment-related laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Supervising a team of 8-10 HR professionals across multiple offices, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field; MBA or Master's degree preferred.
  • Active certification in Human Resources (SPHR or SHRM-SCP); 10+ years of executive-level HR experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in organizational development, change management, employee relations, talent acquisition, and succession planning.
  • Able to think strategically, influence, and manage change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with C-Level Management, Governing Board, and other internal/external stakeholders.

  • A competitive salary range of $185,000 - $225,000 per year, depending on experience.
