Key ResponsibilitiesMonth-End Close ProcessThe Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the month-end close process, ensuring accounting staff meet deadlines, and preparing and reviewing account reconciliations, journal entries, and schedules.
Financial Reporting and AnalysisThe Accounting Manager will prepare accurate and timely financial statements, review monthly financial statements and reports, analyze financial data to provide insights into the company's financial performance, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
Budgeting and ForecastingThe Accounting Manager will assist with the development, management, and collaboration of budgets and forecasts.
Accounts PayableThe Accounting Manager will review weekly invoices and check runs, approve weekly check and ACH payments, and reconcile AP reports to the general ledger.
Payroll and Tax ComplianceThe Accounting Manager will prepare payroll, process payroll, review quarterly reporting from the 3rd party payroll processor, prepare and enter payroll journal entries into the general ledger, and work with an outside CPA to file accurate and timely federal and state tax returns.
Financial ControlsThe Accounting Manager will review and improve financial processes, policies, and procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Team Management and DevelopmentThe Accounting Manager will manage accounting department staff, assign tasks and projects, mentor and train staff, and be an active member of the management team.
