Job Title: Ag Sales Account Manager

Ziegler CAT is seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our Ag Sales Team as an Ag Sales Account Manager.

Job Summary:

The Ag Sales Account Manager will be responsible for developing relationships with farmers in the area, representing the AGCO/Challenger product line, LEXION combine line, Ag-Chem product line, and Ziegler's used inventory. This role offers a base salary with uncapped commission and provides a company vehicle and the latest business technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the first point of contact between the customer and Ziegler Ag Equipment.
  • Develop a coverage plan and document coverage activities to ensure a better outcome on customer visits.
  • Collaborate with the Ag Regional Sales Manager during the sales process, encouraging team selling.
  • Respond promptly to requests from administrative and managerial employees.
  • Meet and respond to the needs of assigned customers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Use other specialists as needed, such as product specialists, manufacturer reps, and management.
  • Develop good rapport with customers, maintaining a balance between personal and business relationships.
  • Present oneself as a professional, neat, and clean Ziegler representative.
  • Accurately maintain customer information lists and sales activities through CRM software.
  • Prepare sales contracts for obtained orders and submit them for processing.
  • Adhere to defined schedules for required paperwork and reports, maintaining a level of expense consistent with corporate requirements.
  • Plan ahead for call activity and strategy.
  • Plan and execute a pricing strategy consistent with company policy.
  • Work cooperatively with management and other employees on an inter- and intra-departmental basis.
  • Follow up on leads and other inquiries.
  • Prospect and reach out to new customers on a regular basis.
  • Create and present material to encourage the customer's decision-making process.
  • Effectively use demonstrations, planning, qualifying, formalizing the demo presentation, and following up with a written recap and quote.
  • Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs and technical knowledge of product capabilities.
  • Control the sales interview with appropriate questions to determine needs and listen effectively to meet those needs.
  • Respond promptly to customer requests.
  • Continually work to find product or service solutions for customers' unique needs.
  • Research competitive product information, developing knowledge of competitive products and sellers.
  • Resolve customer issues both within and outside the direct sales process.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key accounts to ensure their continued business with Ziegler.
  • Promote corresponding and additional products and services to customers according to their needs.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in business or agriculture-related field.
  • 2+ years of successful sales experience selling ag equipment or working with related equipment required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong agricultural background.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Personal characteristics: Self-Motivated, Customer Focus, Learning Orientation, Consideration for others / Empathy, Self-Confidence, Teamwork.
  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Able to drive equipment for demonstration purposes.
Travel:

Up to 50% travel throughout the counties of Monona, Harrison, and Pottawattamie.

Minimum Physical Requirements:
  • Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing.
  • Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be moderate at times.
