About the Role:

GXO Logistics is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Manager to lead our distribution center team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct all support functions of the distribution center, including quality, continuous improvement, inventory management, data research, and operational planning.
  • Support operations teams to ensure service level standards are met and adhere to all contractual obligations.
  • Research and plan inbound and/or outbound loads to optimize logistics operations.
  • Identify growth opportunities with current customers by promoting enhanced services and/or cost savings.
  • Handle costs, mitigate risks, and create value for the customer to achieve net revenue and operating income goals.
  • Track, record, and maintain quality data, monitor operations, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintain cycle count program, meet SLA standards, and provide results to customers.
  • Identify and deploy cost-saving initiatives through standardized improvement processes.
  • Handle all direct reports, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, setting expectations, training, and development.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience with complex demand planning activities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).
  • Working knowledge of statistical methods, mathematical techniques, and related analytical tools, including forecasting and projections.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field.
  • APICS certification.
  • 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience.
  • Experience in quality, inventory, data mining, and problem-solving.
  • Resource and project management experience.
  • Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment.
