Job Overview:

The Assistant Director of Academic Program Assessment plays a crucial role within the Office of Strategic Planning and Institutional Effectiveness (OSPIE). This position is responsible for providing guidance, support, and coordination for various planning and assessment initiatives. The individual will engage actively in the creation, execution, and assessment of comprehensive evaluation strategies that cover a wide range of educational experiences, including academic programs and Quality Enhancement Plans (QEP).

The Assistant Director will assist academic departments in formulating assessment strategies and tools, leveraging assessment data to enhance educational experiences, elevate student learning outcomes, and inform strategic decision-making aimed at continuous improvement. Support mechanisms may include personalized consultations, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and the facilitation of specialized workshops.

Essential Skills and Competencies:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with data analysis and management tools such as SharePoint, Teams, SPSS, R, and Tableau.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not entail supervisory duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

A background in learning outcomes assessment is highly desirable.
