Job Description and Duties

The California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor II to join our team. As a key member of our Exercise Operations Division, you will be responsible for implementing, planning, and conducting all-hazards exercises in accordance with national standards – the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead responsibility for implementing, planning, and conducting all-hazards exercises in accordance with national standards – the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).
  • May be a course manager and instruct the HSEEP Course or other courses as directed.
  • May oversee the project/work activities of Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor Is, Instructor Is, and contractors performing exercise planning functions or instructional duties.
  • Lead responsibility for coordinating all-hazards training in accordance with national standards – the DHS National Training and Education Division programs (NTED).
  • Manage entire courses, programs, and/or manage significant portions of complex courses in conjunction with another Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor II.
Requirements:
  • Participation in the DMV Pull Program is required.
  • Must answer the questions addressing your DL on your application.
  • Ensure you provide your DL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
  • This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code and is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment.
