We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner II to join our team in the Emergency Department at UC Davis Medical Center. This is a limited position, working 60% of full-time, with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities- Provide independent advanced level nurse practitioner clinical expertise to patients and their families.
- Manage chronic stable medical conditions, routine care, acute or critical care, and medical and specialty protocols.
- Participate in patient and staff education, and demonstrate leadership skills.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
- At least three (3) years of recent NP experience in an acute care setting.
- Recent Nurse Practitioner experience working in the Emergency Department.
- Current AHA CPR/BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
- National NP board certification in an aligned specialty with the practice area.
- Graduation with a Master's degree, DNP, or PhD in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Possession of valid California RN and Nurse Practitioner license without restrictions.
