Key Responsibilities- Monthly and Quarterly Close Activities: Plan and perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and analytical reviews.
- Collaboration with Internal Partners: Collaborate with internal business partners such as Data Analytics, Product, Finance Systems, Treasury, and Engineering to implement new integrations, including bank accounts, processors, and products.
- Cash-impacting Reporting Discrepancies: Investigate and resolve cash-impacting reporting discrepancies with both internal and external partners.
- Process Development and Automation: Participate in building and owning reliable and scalable processes and controls for Gusto's Payment Platform, mitigating finance and payments risks.
- Financial Statement Audits and Compliance: Support financial statement audits and other compliance initiatives, such as SOC1 and Money transmitter licenses.
- Education: B.S. or B.A. in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field of study.
- Experience: 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience, including a combination of public accounting and industry experience in FinTech, payments, or payroll.
- Skills: Experience with large-scale ERP systems, such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or Workday. Proficient in MS Office or G Suite, with experience in SQL, Redash, and Tableau a plus.
We offer a competitive salary range of $87,000 - $109,000/yr in Denver and most major metro locations, and $106,000 - $132,000/yr for San Francisco and New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, experience, and expertise.
