Executive Pastry Chef

As a key member of our culinary team, the Executive Pastry Chef - Lead Pastry Operations will be responsible for the overall success of our daily pastry operations. This individual will exhibit exceptional baking and decorating talents, while leading the staff in preparing high-quality and consistent pastries for all areas of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities- Leading the Pastry Team
- Supervise and manage pastry staff, ensuring a high level of productivity and quality.
- Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a passion for pastry arts.
- Ensuring Culinary Standards
- Develop and maintain high-quality pastry products, ensuring consistency and presentation.
- Implement and maintain proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu items and promotions.
- Providing Exceptional Customer Service
- Monitor and respond to customer feedback, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience.
- Maintaining Culinary Goals
- Develop and implement strategies to improve pastry sales and revenue.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu items and promotions.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to inform menu development and pricing strategies.
- Managing Human Resources
- Recruit, train, and develop pastry staff, ensuring a high level of skill and knowledge.
- Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 4 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related field preferred.
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field; 2 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in pastry operations, including leadership and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
Marriott International offers a competitive salary range of $103,000 to $138,000 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
