Assistant Director, Mason Card Office

The Assistant Director, Mason Card Office, plays a crucial role in managing Mason Money transactions, including deposits, charges, and refunds. This position collaborates with departments across campus to configure cards, monitor usage, and document and submit AP for payment. The Assistant Director is responsible for refunding credit/debit for students leaving Mason and researching and correcting charges when needed.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Mason Money transactions, including deposits, charges, and refunds
- Collaborate with departments across campus to configure cards, monitor usage, and document and submit AP for payment
- Refund credit/debit for students leaving Mason and research and correct charges when needed
- Manage off-campus merchants, including making initial contact, obtaining signed agreement, and obtaining G numbers
- Provide insight into vendor relationships to the Director and report any problems and issues proactively
- Assist with meal planning, including creating reporting and billing files, setting up meal plans, and ongoing maintenance of meal planning
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, Public Administration, or related field
- Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems, including word processing, managing files and records
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, Public Administration, or related field
- Previous professional experience in the management and supervision of employees
- Higher Education experience in a Campus Card System or a Corporate Card Services program
