Job Title: Commercial Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Business Development Specialist to join our team at First Financial Bank. As a key member of our commercial banking team, you will be responsible for driving organic deposit growth and expanding our market presence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and target prospective clients to generate new deposit accounts.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to generate leads, attract new clients, and achieve deposit growth targets.
  • Conduct presentations and meetings with potential clients to showcase our deposit products and services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maximize client engagement.
  • Monitor market and industry trends, client preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Promote banking products and services through various channels, including networking events, cold calling, and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
  • 10 years of banking, financial, or related field experience.
  • Proven track record in business development, sales, and relationship management, preferably within financial services or banking.
  • Strong understanding of commercial deposit products and services and of financial markets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Goal-oriented with a strong drive to achieve results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Financial industry certifications (e.g., CFP, CFA, CTP).
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and pursue business opportunities.
  • Prolonged periods of deskwork.
  • Frequent use of computer, keyboard, phone, and office equipment.
Compliance Statement:

The associate is responsible for meeting all compliance requirements imposed on First Financial Bank by State and Federal law and regulation, as well as all related First Financial Bank policies and procedures.

This includes all Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC, and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements, as well as all other lending and deposit compliance requirements.
