Senior Business Development Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Account Manager to join our team at Dobbs Equipment. As a Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our clients to drive business growth and increase market share. Your ultimate goal will be to promote our entire product line, including new and used John Deere equipment and allied products, distributed by Dobbs Equipment. You will be the face of our company, responsible for establishing new partnerships and expanding our existing customer base. Key Responsibilities:
- Sell and promote our entire product line to our existing and potential clients.
- Grow and develop customer relationships to increase market share.
- Prospect and cold call to expand our customer base and increase market presence.
- Quote and negotiate prices, credit terms, prepare contracts, and record and close orders.
- Provide on-site expertise for demonstrations, machine inspections, and technical support.
- Maintain a contact management database and call log for our designated territory.
- Manage market awareness and provide lost sales reports.
- Provide regular status reports to our sales manager on our progress toward our goals and objectives.
- Maximize rental conversions and meet or exceed company targets for units, dollars, and gross profit.
- Manage and control sales-related expenses.
- Attend training and sales meetings to stay current with new equipment and special deals.
- Provide feedback to other departments and offer trade-in information when requested.
Requirements:
- A valid driver's license.
- Equipment sales experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or a minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to self-manage and self-motivate.
- Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to apply common sense and understand instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Basic mathematical skills to perform tasks such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure.
- Quick learning abilities and the capacity to think outside the box.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and may be required to work in a fast-paced environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
