Overview:

The CNC Lathe Operator plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by setting up and managing a Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) lathe to produce high-quality machined components.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Interprets technical drawings and blueprints with precision.
  • Utilizes forklifts and overhead cranes for material handling.
  • Executes program modifications and adjustments as necessary.
  • Measures components accurately in accordance with specifications.
  • Conducts quality inspections of parts, tools, and materials.
  • Independently performs CNC Lathe setups and produces quality components.
  • Conducts self-assessments of parts using precision measuring tools.
  • Completes additional tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
The role requires frequent standing and mobility within the workshop to transport materials and access necessary tools and equipment.

Continuous hand use is essential for performing job duties, which involve both fine and gross motor skills. Effective communication with colleagues is necessary.

Employees must be capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, or moving up to 50 pounds. For heavier items, mechanical assistance is available.

Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Personal protective equipment is mandatory as needed. The work environment typically has moderate to high noise levels and involves exposure to moving parts, power tools, and airborne particles.

The workspace is well-lit, climate-controlled, and adequately ventilated.
