Overview:

The CNC Lathe Operator plays a crucial role in manufacturing precision components by effectively setting up and managing a Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) lathe machine.


Shift Details:

2nd Shift - 2:30 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. OR 3:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. (Monday to Thursday)


Key Responsibilities:
  • Interprets and analyzes technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Utilizes forklifts and overhead cranes for material handling.
  • Modifies CNC programs as necessary.
  • Measures components accurately according to specifications.
  • Ensures quality control of parts, tools, and materials.
  • Independently sets up CNC Lathe and produces high-quality components.
  • Conducts self-inspections using precision measuring tools.
  • Completes additional tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

The role requires frequent standing and mobility on the shop floor to transport materials and access tools. Regular lifting, pushing, and moving of items up to 50 pounds is necessary, with heavier items handled using equipment. Vision capabilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision.

Personal protective equipment is required as necessary. The work environment may expose employees to mechanical parts, power tools, and airborne particles, but is generally well-lit and ventilated.
