The Building Engineer I is a key member of the CCS Facility Services team, responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and proper operation of assigned properties. This role requires a strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and life safety systems.
Key Responsibilities- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal system performance.
- Corrective Repair: Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Life Safety Systems: Ensure the proper functioning of life safety systems, including fire alarms and emergency generators.
- Facilities Management: Assist in the monitoring and implementation of OSHA requirements, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in the building operation/maintenance field preferred.
- Certifications: Universal EPA Refrigerant Handler License required, NATE Certified HVAC Technician, and Refrigeration Operating Engineer or Stationary Engineer License required.
- Skills: Solid ability to safely and properly use tools, knowledge of heavy equipment operation, effective interpersonal and customer service skills, and ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents.
- Sitting: 50%
