Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for overseeing the quality control initiatives and processes within the manufacturing operations of MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions. This role ensures that all products comply with defined quality benchmarks and fulfill customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and uphold policies and procedures to guarantee that manufacturing processes and products meet established quality criteria.
  • Design, execute, and oversee the organization's quality management framework, tracking advancements towards strategic quality objectives.
  • Supervise a team of quality inspectors and analysts to gather data, pinpoint potential quality concerns, assess the quality of raw materials, components, and in-process products, and initiate corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and procurement teams to identify root causes and resolve quality challenges through effective corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to both internal and external quality standards.
  • Promote continuous improvement efforts by gathering insights from internal teams and external clients.
  • Ensure that all quality-related documentation is accurately completed and systematically organized.
  • Champion and maintain 5S principles, fostering a tidy and structured work environment.
  • Adhere to and advocate for all Safety, Environmental, and Quality regulations and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive understanding of quality assurance principles and practices within a manufacturing context.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing intricate tasks and quality processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to guide and oversee the work of other team members, making personnel decisions as necessary.
  • Experience in implementing established policies and procedures, with some involvement in budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural modifications.
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 6 years of pertinent experience.
