As a Neuroscience Sales Executive, you will play a pivotal role in promoting our CNS portfolio to primary care providers and specialists, including Psychiatrists, Neurologists, and Institutional Accounts such as Skilled Nursing Facilities. Your responsibilities will include driving demand creation through comprehensive clinical insights, executing tailored sales and marketing strategies in the local market, and collaborating to implement approved services that cater to the needs of each account. Our Neuroscience Sales Executives excel in navigating the complexities of commercialization in today’s dynamic environment and must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Business Planning & Account Management - Utilize digital tools and data-driven insights to identify opportunities, formulate strategies and tactics, allocate resources effectively, monitor progress, and adjust approaches to optimize sales outcomes.

Effective Selling Techniques - Communicate messages clearly and persuasively to clients, adeptly assess customer needs to address objections, and fulfill educational requirements. Conclude each interaction with a commitment to action to influence behavioral changes.

Customer Engagement Development - Craft engagement plans that encompass identified clients and key stakeholders across various touchpoints, including Private Practices, Institutions, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and other entities involved in patient care.

Local Market & Therapeutic Knowledge - Analyze and validate key market trends and dynamics, map account relationships, and leverage extensive therapeutic knowledge to identify and prioritize unique opportunities.

Reimbursement Expertise - Demonstrate a thorough understanding of reimbursement dynamics, proactively address payer access challenges specific to the promoted portfolio, and utilize knowledge of the Medicare landscape alongside other payer channels, including Medicaid and Commercial.

Compliance with Pharmaceutical Regulations - Apply knowledge of the pharmaceutical and regulatory landscape, ensuring adherence to Lundbeck policies and FDA regulations concerning the promotion of pharmaceutical and medical products.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Arts or Sciences from an accredited institution. Minimum of 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales, or related healthcare sales. Proven ability to excel in disease and product training assessments, including annual certification on product knowledge. Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and exceptional communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with key clients, office personnel, and other influencers in the customer network. Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer literate. Must reside within 40 miles of the designated territory. A valid driver’s license with a safe driving record is required, as driving is an essential function of this role. Compliance with industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers/customer facilities is necessary for continued employment with Lundbeck.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience within a specialty product sales force. Prior experience promoting products specific to CNS/neuroscience therapeutic areas in both primary care and specialty environments, including Psychiatry, Neurology, and Institutional Accounts. Documented successful sales performance, including national sales accolades. Proven ownership and accountability for developing and executing comprehensive account plans. Experience in institutional account healthcare sales (IDNs, Hospitals, Community Mental Health Centers, and Skilled Nursing Facilities). CNS selling experience related to conditions such as Alzheimer's, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Anxiety. Proven track record in product launches, demonstrating the ability to achieve results in challenging and ambiguous markets. Strong analytical skills and experience utilizing sales data reporting tools to identify trends. Previous collaboration with alliance partners (e.g., co-promotions). Demonstrated leadership through participation in committees, job rotations, panels, and related activities.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 30% - 40% to (a) regularly engage with the customer base and internal personnel within the assigned territory; and (b) typically attend 4-8 internal/external conferences and meetings across various locations. Travel must be completed in a timely manner.

The displayed salary range is national, and if selected for this role, it may vary based on factors such as geographical location, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Salary Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000 with eligibility for a sales incentive target of $37,500.
