Job Overview

At Encore Boston Harbor, we are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Representative to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.

Responsibilities

* Provide attentive and courteous service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded
* Maximize room revenue through the sale of upgrades and guest amenities
* Maintain all Encore Standards, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency in all aspects of guest service
* Participate in the execution of short-and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
* Monitor and evaluate operational effectiveness, making changes as needed to improve performance
* Identify key drivers of success and contribute to departmental performance
* Verify that all applicable internal policies, federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and property-wide controls are enforced within the department
* Deliver and maintain a maximum level of service, ensuring a positive experience for all guests
* Contribute to company-wide communication and best practices
* Stay informed of all new developments within the department
* Balance multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines, often in stressful and high-pressure situations
* Assign guest accommodations in accordance with current procedures
* Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit, check-cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures
* Handle assigned bank properly and perform account postings
* Maintain knowledge of hotel occupancy status, special events, in-house groups, and other situations affecting the reception desk's daily operation
* Accept same day and advance reservations as required
* Process guest accounts upon check-out in an efficient and accurate manner
* Work with safety as a priority, following department and company safety standards
* Maintain relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Previous experience in a front desk or hospitality role preferred
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
