About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Manager to join our team at McDonald's. As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of employees and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts and ensure that customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience every visit.
  • Manage assigned departments, including Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
  • Set goals, delegate tasks, and follow up on results with your team.
  • Report results back to your team and other managers.

Department Manager Responsibilities

  • Guest Service Department Manager
    • Ensure that Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience.
    • Implement sales promotions effectively.
    • Train service staff in service procedures.
    • Organize the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
  • Kitchen Department Manager
    • Ensure that the restaurant delivers high-quality food to customers quickly and safely.
    • Control food cost and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
    • Train kitchen staff in production procedures, including new menu items.
  • People Department Manager
    • Recruit and train qualified crew members.
    • Schedule crew members to meet restaurant sales and profit goals.
    • Ensure that crew members receive a good start at the restaurant and are recognized and motivated throughout their employment.

Requirements

  • Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
  • Positive team player with flexible scheduling and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and lead by example.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
