Position Overview:
The Systems Integration Engineer is tasked with the design, specifications, and oversight of integrated system installations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure that systems are commissioned in accordance with the design Statement of Functionality (SOF), Technical Scope of Work, and client expectations.

- Validate that the system design aligns with the scope of work and meets client operational requirements.

- Adjust system engineering as necessary while documenting modifications on system schematics.

- Provide comprehensive documentation for any configurations essential for successful implementation (e.g., network setups, video configurations, DSP settings, etc.).

- Identify and support change orders during the project installation phase and keep the Project Manager informed.
- Troubleshoot and rectify system deficiencies while developing effective solutions.
- Maintain open and effective communication with team members.
- Keep project managers updated on the status of development efforts and programming for assigned projects.

- Contribute to the creation, implementation, and documentation of control programming standards, including graphical design, custom code, and system functionality if not previously established.

- Ensure all new code complies with Solutionz standards and adheres to established templates.

- Program audio DSPs to fulfill system functionality and equalize the system for optimal performance based on requirements.

- Provide technical support to other departments as needed.
- Ensure that fabrication and installation practices align with AV best practices.
- Conduct system testing and acceptance for installations both remotely and on-site.
- Engage in research and development tasks both in-house and in the field as required.
- Collaborate with Solutionz departments to assist with technical escalations from the Field Team.
- Exhibit the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
- Mentor junior technical staff.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Field Engineer Team Lead and/or Director of Engineering.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a technical role.
- Programming training from recognized institutions such as Crestron, Biamp, QSC, AMX, and others.
- Proficient in programming and troubleshooting basic control systems and touch panel GUIs.
- Experience in loading, troubleshooting, and testing code both on-site and remotely.
- Ability to finalize projects through the commissioning of system functionality.
- Familiarity with programming various DSP product configurations and controls.
- Strong understanding of audio principles.
- Knowledge of Cisco, Polycom, and Lifesize VTC products, including their programming/setup.
- Understanding of AV system design.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, OSI model, and relevant terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Capacity to think independently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to interact effectively with field personnel, management, and clients.
- Willingness to travel and work after hours as needed.
