Director of Restricted Funds

Public Health Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Director of Restricted Funds to join our WholeYouNYC division. As a key member of our fiscal management team, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive accounting, grant management, and fiscal support services for select programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide full range of fiscal and accounting services to program management and staff on a timely basis.
- Prepare applications, budgets, financial reports, and other financial analysis as required by program management and staff.
- Present financial materials to PHS management, program management, program Board committees, and program Board as requested.
- Work closely with PHS and program management staff and funding sources to resolve issues and problems.
- Responsible for all aspects of day-to-day management and supervision of assigned staff.
- Review and approve all financial reports, payment requests, journal entries, and other materials prepared by assigned staff.
- Ensure timely compliance with funders' administrative requirements.
- Operate and maintain program accounting system.
- Prepare written policies and procedures as required.
- Provide training, instruction, assistance, and support to assigned staff.
- Coordinate with PHS Fiscal Department on corporate-wide interim and year-end financial reporting and other fiscal matters.
- Prepare program financial statements and work with program's independent auditors to facilitate annual audit.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA designation preferred.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, including grant accounting and fiscal reporting, 7 of which must be in the non-profit arena.
- Significant prior experience managing professional staff in a Fiscal Department/Comptroller's Office environment.
- Expertise in Excel and report writing software. 7 years of hands-on experience with accounting system software. Fundware experience a plus.
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collegially with staff, management, and all stakeholders in time-sensitive, performance-driven environments.
