POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Client Relations Specialist is tasked with delivering outstanding service by addressing customers' financial requirements in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. This role involves opening new accounts, conducting needs assessments, and managing transactions. The specialist will adapt to the branch's needs, emphasizing promotional activities and enhancing the customer experience by deepening and retaining relationships while identifying opportunities for growth. This position serves as a hybrid role, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while focusing on both sales and service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uphold the Bank's philosophy of Building Excellence and provide superior customer service.
  • Fulfill dual responsibilities as both a Client Relations Specialist and Teller.
  • Assess customer needs while opening or servicing deposit accounts.
  • Manage the overall branch customer experience by assisting clients with deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, transfers, and other transactions.
  • Process new account transactions, cross-sell the Bank's products and services, and strive to meet or exceed branch objectives.
  • Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and identify cross-selling opportunities while educating customers on alternative service channels.
  • Conduct daily check scanning, vault and ATM settlements, and assist with branch opening/closing procedures as needed.
  • Multitask across various job roles to meet all service or transaction needs, including cash transactions and basic account openings.
  • Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager on responses to independent third-party and regulatory audits, ensuring identified deficiencies are addressed.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all Bank products and services.
  • Provide mentoring and training to fellow staff members.
  • Demonstrate respect, integrity, and responsibility in all interactions, upholding organizational values.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures, completing tasks accurately and on time while supporting the company's goals.
  • Promote a diverse and inclusive work environment, respecting cultural differences and fostering a harassment-free workplace.
  • Perform duties safely, reporting any potentially unsafe conditions, and comply with occupational safety and health standards.
  • Execute additional duties and projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of and adherence to state and federal regulations relevant to this position.
  • Intermediate math skills for calculating interest, balancing accounts, and interpreting data.
  • Strong understanding of bank deposits, credit products, and services.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; experience in Bank Secrecy Act compliance and general banking skills preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of retail banking experience in the financial services sector.
  • At least 1 year of experience in explaining credit products and processing loan applications.
