About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Client Development Specialist to join our team at Goodwin Procter. As a key member of our Client Development team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of strategies that deepen and grow our client relationships with complex and large clients, such as banks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the agenda and preparation for community and governance calls for individual clients and groups of clients.
  • Identify and conduct research to support banking clients and the Goodwin team, including market trends, internal client analytics, building a 360-view of client relationships, and geographies/sectors of interest.
  • Drive business development goals of the Client Development team, including support in identifying and tracking business leads and identifying new commercial growth opportunities.
  • Ensure partners across the accounts are coordinated in all their efforts and synchronize these efforts with relevant client development team members, including reporting on key objectives, progress, and metrics.
  • Support prep for pitch meetings and networking opportunities to gather business intelligence of key banking clients and ensure that we are properly showcasing Goodwin's value proposition and holistic capabilities.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of industry experience in investment banking, management consulting, or related professional services.
  • Bachelor's Degree with a track record of excellence; MBA, JD, or other advanced degree a plus, but not required.
  • Strong business and business development acumen, with general knowledge of capital markets, M&A, and litigation.
  • Project management experience with excellent organizational skills; Strong experience assessing data, identifying relevant insights, and building presentations for Executive-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to leverage research and competitive intelligence to identify business opportunities and support go-to-market strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate persuasively, both orally and in writing with clients, lawyers, and staff.
  • Exercises sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information; effective and organized when managing multiple projects.
  • Experience in key Goodwin industries - Technology, Life Science, Private Equity, Real Estate, Financial Services, and where they converge is a strong plus.
  • Proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and quick to learn and adapt to new programs.

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,800 - $106,200, depending on location, as well as flexible work arrangements, hybrid work schedule, health, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, retirement & savings plan, emergency back-up child and adult care, paid vacation, sick time off, and holidays, professional development and career advancement opportunities, and employee wellness and assistance programs.
