Industrial Relations Specialist

About the Job
The Department of Industrial Relations is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Relations Representative to join our team. As an Industrial Relations Representative, you will play a critical role in promoting fair labor practices and resolving workplace conflicts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in investigating alleged adverse actions and ensuring compliance with state labor laws.
- Meet with employers, employees, and their representatives to discuss compliance with state labor laws.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and employers on labor-related issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of experience in labor relations, human resources, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions
This position is located in a high-volume, fast-paced office environment. The incumbent will work independently and as part of a team to achieve organizational goals. Occasional travel to off-site locations may be required.
