Industrial Relations Specialist

Job Summary
The Department of Industrial Relations is seeking a skilled Industrial Relations Representative to join our team. As an Industrial Relations Representative, you will assist professional staff in performing investigations of alleged adverse actions and meet with employers, employees, and their representatives to gain understanding of their positions regarding compliance with state labor laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in investigations of alleged adverse actions
- Meet with employers, employees, and their representatives to discuss compliance with state labor laws
- Provide guidance and support to team members to enrich their work and our ability to combat wage theft
Requirements
- Must be reachable on an employment list, have transfer eligibility, or have reinstatement eligibility
- Must have a talent for performing efficiently in a fast-paced environment and enjoy flexibility and learning new things
Working Conditions
This position will be filled in either Salinas, San Jose, or San Francisco. The incumbent will work in a high-volume, fast-paced office environment and use a computer, telephone, and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
