The annual salary for this position is estimated to be between $70,000 - $85,000, commensurate with your skills and experience.
Job Description
As a Payroll and Benefits Specialist, you will be responsible for administering payroll, benefits, and leave programs for our employees. This involves maintaining accurate employee data, processing bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system functionality, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently, including data entry for new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
- Review and reconcile timesheets to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Administer employee benefits programs, ensuring accurate enrollment and ongoing support for employee inquiries.
- Manage and administer employee leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess 3+ years' experience in HR operations, with a focus on payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management. You should have strong technical proficiency in HR systems, particularly HRIS (e.g., ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and data analysis. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to handle confidential information with tact and diplomacy.
