About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Investment Department as an Investment Analyst Intern. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including credit analysis, financial modeling, and investment decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform credit analysis on existing portfolio holdings and potential new investments, including analysis of the economic, demographic, and financial characteristics of municipal bond issuers.
  • Conduct research on sector trends and developments within the segments of the municipal market.
  • Present analytical conclusions and recommendations in a collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Present investment recommendations to senior leaders and experienced investment professionals through written reports and oral presentations.

Requirements

  • Current graduate students who have completed first year graduate studies by start of the internship.
  • Evidence of academic (3.5 GPA or above preferred) and personal achievement.
  • Coursework in areas such as state and local tax policy, economics, statistics, fixed income investments, or state and local governmental accounting preferred.
  • Analytical, inquisitive, energetic, detail oriented, and self-driven with strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to articulate and support research findings.
  • Ability to collaborate and engage in a dynamic team setting.
  • Initiative and drive for continuous learning.
