About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commercial solar sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and securing high-margin solar project opportunities, implementing a proven business development process, and collaborating with our design and engineering team to create comprehensive proposals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive revenue growth by identifying and securing high-margin solar project opportunities.
  2. Develop and implement a strategic business development process for commercial solar projects, focusing on key industry segments and geographic markets.
  3. Generate leads through cold calling, networking, and site visits, and effectively communicate project plans and challenges to clients.
  4. Collaborate with our design and engineering team to create comprehensive proposals and present them to customers.
  5. Prepare project bid documents, including internal review documentation, project budget, and customer pricing.
  6. Ensure project designs meet requirements and obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  7. Provide on-site support for client interfacing as required.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Strong background in sales, networking, and building relationships with business owners across various industries.
  2. Minimum of 3 years' experience in sales and marketing roles, ideally in medium-scale commercial solar projects.
  3. Ability to create and present customer proposals effectively.
  4. Understanding of commercial solar PV system design and proposal development.
  5. Knowledge of solar incentives, regulations, financing, and energy cost structures.
  6. Proficiency in solar proposal software (e.g., Helioscope and Energy Tool Base) and Microsoft Excel.
