About the Role

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Finance and Strategy to join our team at DoorDash USA. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and analytical support to our business partners and stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:
  • **Own the DoorDash Platform financial model and financial planning process:** Develop and maintain a comprehensive financial model that covers our first-party fulfillment services, digital ordering, and emerging opportunities.
  • **Formulate and drive strategic and long-term comprehensive business plans:** Collaborate with key business executive stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans that drive business growth and profitability.
  • **Construct detailed financial models to support investment decision-making:** Build complex financial models to support investment decisions and provide data-driven insights to inform business strategies.
  • **Work closely with the VP, Finance & Strategy, CFO, Chief Revenue Officer, and Business Development leaders:** Ensure that the appropriate financial infrastructure is in place to support the company's current and future business requirements.
  • **Lead, scale, and coach a team:** Develop and lead a high-performing team of financial analysts and planners.

Requirements:
  • **15+ years of strategic finance, FP&A, or investment banking experience:** Proven track record of success in a high-growth technology start-up or well-established company.
  • **Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance:** MBA and/or CFA preferred.
  • **Experience developing and managing high-potential teams and culture:** Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • **Extensive experience in deal negotiation, analysis, and strategy development:** Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • **Growth-oriented leader:** Ability to act as a steward of financial resources and an enabler of entrepreneurial thinking.
  • **Demonstrated capacity to leverage data, insights, and influence in high-level organizational strategies and decisions:** Ability to drive business growth and profitability through data-driven insights.
  • **Aptitude for finding creative solutions that result in win-win business outcomes for multiple parties:** Ability to negotiate and develop mutually beneficial agreements.
  • **Ability to work across functions and departments:** Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • **Experience working with Accounting and an understanding of GAAP and corporate finance principles:** Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • **Advanced modeling skills (e.g., Excel with complex functions, Google Sheets):** Ability to build complex financial models and analyses.
  • **Ability to manipulate large datasets, uncovering hidden insights and improving our understanding of our business:** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • **Prior experience in B2B services, SaaS, supply chain, and logistics or high-growth marketplace:** Preferred experience in these areas.
