Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Practice Administrative Associate to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care and physician activity, maintaining patient medical records, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain appointment schedules, coordinate schedule changes, and communicate with staff and physicians as needed.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the front desk, including check-in processes, patient verification, and message retrieval.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering phone calls, and responding to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records and/or paper medical charts.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, and opening and sorting mail.
  • Collect and reconcile co-pay collections and cash drawers in accordance with NEMG policy and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in staff meetings and actively contribute to the development of the team.
Requirements
  • High School degree or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of administrative healthcare experience or 2 years of administrative office experience required.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, customer service, and teamwork skills required.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • EMR experience preferred and working knowledge of Microsoft office applications required.
