Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for administering medication, screening and handling client inquiries regarding medical issues, assisting psychiatrists in their role, and contributing through observation and reports of physical health concerns of clients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of psychiatric care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medication as prescribed by physicians
  • Screen and handle client inquiries regarding medical issues
  • Assist psychiatrists in their role
  • Contribute through observation and reports of physical health concerns of clients
  • Provide emergency care and first aid services as needed
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and other meetings as assigned
Requirements:
  • Practical nursing degree from an accredited institution
  • Training in medication administration
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Ohio
  • Reliable transportation with a valid Ohio Driver's License
  • Ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability
  • Ability to meet agency requirements for criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior mental health nursing experience
  • Training in First Aid, CPR, and De-escalation techniques
Compensation:

$38,000 - $46,000 per year
