Lead a pivotal role in fostering strategic partnerships at the University of Colorado Denver, a premier public urban research institution. As an HR & Payroll Coordinator, you will play a key part in supporting the School of Education & Human Development's mission to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Salary: $54,000 - $58,000 per annum, depending on level of experience and qualifications.

Job Summary:

This dynamic role involves providing exceptional HR and payroll support to the SEHD community, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and contributing to the development of strategic partnerships that drive academic excellence and social impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and students, to provide responsive and effective HR services.
  • Collaborate with the SEHD HR team to design and implement innovative HR solutions that align with the school's strategic goals and priorities.
  • Provide expert payroll support, including processing student employment setups, payments, and biweekly timesheets, as well as managing leave usage and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices that promote a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and equity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one year of professional experience in HR, payroll, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to HR and payroll.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two or more years of experience in HR, payroll, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM or similar HR management software.
  • Knowledge of University policies, Regents Rules, and School policies.
