Job Summary:

This full-time hybrid position is for a Hardware Validation Engineer within the Automotive Ethernet sector. The selected candidate will be tasked with validating and testing semiconductor devices, engaging in system design evaluations, and collaborating with diverse teams, including hardware designers, software engineers, and product managers. While the role is based in San Jose, CA, there is an option for some remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess chip functionalities at both electrical and protocol/system levels.
  • Utilize laboratory equipment to conduct electrical measurements, including timing parameters, compliance assessments, and noise/jitter evaluations.
  • Develop scripts to automate functional and feature testing, collaborating with chip designers, board designers, and firmware engineers to analyze and troubleshoot silicon issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in hardware validation or testing.
  • Familiarity with Ethernet, PCIe, WiFi, or other communication protocols.
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and other testing apparatus.
  • Experience with scripting languages, particularly Python.
  • Comprehensive understanding of electronic circuit design and analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for debugging complex issues.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven track record of working effectively in team settings.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
