Job Summary:

This full-time hybrid position is for a Hardware Validation Engineer within the Automotive Ethernet Industry. The selected candidate will be tasked with validating and testing semiconductor devices, engaging in system design evaluations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including hardware designers, software engineers, and product managers. While the primary location is in San Jose, CA, there is flexibility for remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct validation of chip functionalities at both electrical and protocol/system levels.
  • Utilize laboratory equipment to perform electrical measurements, including timing parameters, compliance testing, and noise/jitter analysis.
  • Develop scripts to automate functional and feature testing, and collaborate with chip designers, board designers, and firmware engineers to analyze and troubleshoot silicon issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in hardware validation or testing.
  • Familiarity with Ethernet, PCIe, WiFi, or other communication protocols.
  • Proficient in using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and other testing instruments.
  • Experience with scripting languages, particularly Python.
  • Solid understanding of electronic circuit design and analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for debugging complex issues.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced startup atmosphere.
