Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain Engineering Manager to join our Operations group in San Jose. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing quality issues, reviewing supplier manufacturing processes, and collaborating with suppliers to improve quality and value.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Management: Manage and drive quality issues to closure by working closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Supplier Collaboration: Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities.
- Failure Analysis: Perform failure analysis to identify root cause and provide mitigation to improve supply manufacturing quality.
- Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier performance and response times to ensure production continuity.
- Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate suppliers, conduct audits, and assess supplier quality metrics.
- Corrective Action Management: Manage supplier corrective action reports.
- Reporting: Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
- 10+ years' experience in electronic components/semiconductor industry.
- Advanced degree in material science, mechanical and electrical engineering, or relevant field.
- Highly technical problem-solving skills, driven to understand true root cause and validate corrective actions.
- Working knowledge of the electronic component packaging manufacturing process.
- Understanding of quality methodology, Design of Experiments (DOEs), statistical process control, quality statistical sampling, reliability methods and theory.
- Experience with quality inspection, auditing, and testing methods.
- Experience in transfer design and develop packaging processes in suppliers overseas manufacturing sites.
- Demonstrated ability to improve yield and manufacturing quality of products in suppliers' production lines.
- Data-driven and results-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Inclination to be hands-on, performing device tear-downs, collecting diagnostics information, and data gathering using instrumentation.
- Strong communication skills, with ability to effectively present to cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
- Ability to travel for supplier visits.
- Mandarin speaking a plus.
