Position: Purchasing Specialist in Semiconductor Manufacturing
Compensation: $35.00/hour
Location: San Jose, CA (onsite required)
***Bilingual proficiency in Korean is preferred***
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and source technological solutions relevant to the Semiconductor Manufacturing sector, encompassing raw materials, machinery, and innovative processing techniques.
- Oversee the supplier selection process, facilitate negotiations, and estimate purchase costs while ensuring material availability.
- Engage in business and technical discussions with the Procurement Team and R&D Engineers to assess supplier capabilities.
- If chosen, negotiate collaborative agreements with suppliers to secure optimal value and terms for the organization.
- Analyze market dynamics in Semiconductor Manufacturing and respond to technology solution inquiries for specific engineering initiatives.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of semiconductor manufacturing technologies, industry trends, and advancements.
- Establish a network of suppliers for raw materials.
- Perform thorough financial and technological evaluations of prospective suppliers.
- Manage all procurement activities, including price negotiations, contract management, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
- Negotiate agreements and pricing to maximize value for both parties.
- Evaluate costs and actual purchasing prices.
- Maintain documentation related to supplier selection, quotations, investment analyses, and purchase orders.
- Support IPC's negotiation strategies and encourage the utilization of internal insights for the purchasing team's innovation.
- Create a framework for supplier evaluations and performance metrics.
