Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Nursing Assistant 2 to join our team at the University of Miami Hospital & Clinics - Lennar Foundation Medical Ctr. Coral Gables. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support services to ensure a safe and efficient patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe transportation of patients from their rooms to various areas of the hospital.
  • Ensure patient safety by verifying patient identification, chart, and sending slip.
  • Assist patients to and from the stretcher and support nursing personnel with patient positioning and skin preps.
  • Clean and prepare surgical suites and disinfect stretchers between patients.
  • Support the supply needs of the department by receiving supplies and restocking areas.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the surgical suite and operating rooms.
  • Empty trash containers, suction canister boxes, and replace bags and boxes throughout the day.
  • Maintain attendants' supply room with cleaning solutions and equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of wet vacuum hoses, floor tools, and brushes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
