Job Summary

The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. As an IT Support Specialist, you will provide technical assistance and support to staff members, ensuring the smooth operation of our business systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide first-level technical support to staff members, resolving issues related to computer hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • System Administration: Assist in the administration of our business systems, including Workday, HR, payroll, timekeeping, P2P, and accounting.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within our systems, performing regular audits and data analysis to identify discrepancies.
  • Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training sessions to staff members on new processes and system functionality, creating documentation to support knowledge sharing.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Change Management and Configuration teams, to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes.
  • Incident Resolution: Respond to and resolve incidents in a timely and professional manner, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, HR, or related field.
  • Experience: One year of relevant work experience in IT support or a related field.
  • Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and ability to work well with people from different disciplines.
