As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing testing and analysis on products and components to support product launch, continuous improvement, and quality assurance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and perform testing and analysis on products and components to support product launch and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support design engineering in the development of new products, including plant-based products.
  • Oversee overall project management for all phases of product launch activities and mass production, including interfacing with other company disciplines, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ensure all assigned resources are integrated and dedicated to achieving planned objectives, resolving relevant issues and problems as required.
  • Represent the company in outside discussions with customers, suppliers, and technical forums through completion of the project.
  • Design and develop fixtures and equipment for product and component testing and some production support.
  • Perform limited CAD duties to support other departments.
  • Report program status on a weekly basis to management.
  • Follow company safety and health guidelines and other company policies.
  • Minimum travel required (up to 30%).

Qualifications:

  • Four-year, accredited degree in Mechanical/Engineering or Mechanical/Engineering Technology.
  • Ability to read and evaluate mechanical drawings and technical product specifications.
  • Familiarity with basic mechanical tools and their use in fabrication, measurement, and assembly.
  • Understanding of engineering theory and practices.
  • Familiarity with current mechanical design, analysis, and verification techniques.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Use of MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Autodesk Inventor software.
  • Strong math and mechanical skills.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in project management with an automotive supplier or OEM.
  • Experience in fuel system/fluid transfer.
  • Strong working knowledge of GD&T.
  • Experience with core quality tools: FMEA, Control Plan, and Process Flow.
  • Japanese language a plus.
  • ISO9001, IATF-16949, or TS-16949 systems knowledge.
