Job Summary

FSRI is seeking a skilled Behavior Specialist to join our multidisciplinary treatment team in a day program for children with mental health needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with challenging behaviors and autism, as well as excellent communication and boundary-setting skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in daily instruction and educational data collection
  • Manage classroom grades and student information
  • Participate in IEP preparation and implementation
  • Provide behavior management and crisis intervention services
  • Collaborate with clinicians and other service providers to ensure student and family needs are met


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with ED/BD children required
  • Excellent communication and computer skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel to and from students' residences and community locations
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to communicate effectively and participate in physical crisis intervention
