Job Description

At The Hope Academy, we are seeking a highly skilled Mathematics Education Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mathematics education and a proven track record of improving student outcomes.

The Mathematics Education Specialist will work closely with teachers and administrators to develop and implement effective mathematics instruction. This will include:

  • Evaluating instructional needs in mathematics and collaborating with teachers and administrators to interpret assessment data and improve instruction
  • Leading faculty in the selection and use of assessment tools to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions
  • Conducting regular meetings with classroom teachers to examine student work and monitor progress
  • Providing small group and individualized instruction as needed
  • Developing lesson plans and instructional materials that incorporate diverse content and strategies
  • Providing inservice training and coaching to support teachers in the use of mathematical concepts and skills
  • Observing and providing feedback to teachers on instruction related to mathematical development and content area knowledge

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree with valid elementary education certification and a strong background in mathematics education. They will be able to demonstrate culturally informed behavior management and discipline practices and use positive guidance techniques to support student learning.
