Key Responsibilities:

The Continuous Improvement Specialist will oversee REHAU's internal RPS (REHAU Performance System), focusing on all aspects of continuous improvement initiatives. This system includes standardized management tools and methodologies aimed at enhancing outcomes related to cost efficiency, quality assurance, and delivery performance, all aligned with our key performance indicators.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive continuous improvement activities aligned with business objectives and strategies.
  • Coach and mentor leadership, project teams, and staff to foster effective problem-solving practices.
  • Support operational activities by establishing annual plans, data collection systems, and tracking mechanisms for programs and projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Strategic Operations, Operations Managers, and team members across various departments including Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
  • Utilize project management tools to oversee projects, ensuring timelines and targets are met.
  • Facilitate training for cross-functional teams to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Identify and propose potential replication projects to relevant stakeholders.
  • Implement and realize continuous improvement initiatives within the facility.
  • Coordinate and lead workshops aimed at enhancing operational processes.
  • Generate reports and serve as the central contact for reporting activities.
  • Evaluate and implement suggestions for improvement from plant employees.
  • Determine corrective measures in response to deviations based on established escalation scenarios.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in conducting training, including On-The-Job training, in a manufacturing context is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with methodologies such as Kaizen, SMED, and Six Sigma is advantageous.

Educational Background:

  • A preferred bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field, coupled with 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expertise in Lean and Continuous Improvement principles, systems, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering disciplines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in training individuals and groups effectively.
