- Safety and Risk Management: Oversee safety activities and maintain a safe work environment, minimizing risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Performance Management: Manage performance through reports and coaching team members to achieve desired results.
- Process Improvement: Implement problem-solving solutions to improve daily operations, leveraging Kaizen or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a manufacturing strategy to achieve desired results, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively at all levels within the organization, fostering a positive work environment and championing change.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred, or 5+ years of relevant experience, with 5-10 years of managerial experience, preferably in a foundry environment.
- Skills and Qualifications: Strong understanding of lean principles, experience with Kaizen or continuous improvement methodologies, and ability to build employee effectiveness and foster open communication.
- Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
This role requires a primarily office setting with significant time spent on the shop floor, necessitating the use of safety gear on the production floor.
Physical Demands- Physical Abilities: Ability to talk, hear, handle objects, stand, walk, and reach, with close vision and ability to adjust focus.
