Job Overview

Position Summary

The Marketplace Enrollment Specialist plays a crucial role in identifying individuals who lack health coverage and guiding them through the enrollment process, facilitating their access to necessary healthcare services. This position involves conducting interviews and assessing potential candidates for enrollment in Government Programs such as Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care, Child Health Plus, and the Essential Plan. Furthermore, the Enrollment Specialist will assist in enrolling clients into Qualified Health Plans, ensuring that all options and products are presented to them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve established enrollment targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Conduct interviews and assist eligible individuals with the enrollment process into various health programs.
  • Engage with consumers at diverse locations within the community.
  • Provide education and support to individuals navigating the enrollment process, clarifying requirements and necessary documentation.
  • Inform potential members about all aspects of the health plans, including features, benefits, and required disclosures.
  • Guide members on premium payment options and deadlines.
  • Assist clients in selecting appropriate health plans and primary care providers.
  • Ensure timely submission of completed applications in accordance with enrollment guidelines.
  • Identify current members needing recertification and assist them in completing the necessary applications.
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective and current members while adhering to marketing guidelines.
  • Participate in outreach initiatives and community engagement projects as directed by management.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with external partners, including healthcare providers and community organizations.
  • Attend relevant meetings and community events as required.
  • Be available for occasional weekend or evening events.
Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma required.

Experience
  • At least one year of experience with State and Federal Health Insurance programs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights and weekends.
Licensure and Certification

Completion of required training and certification for Marketplace Enrollment Specialists is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree and bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English are advantageous.
