Position Overview

Compensation: $23-29 Hourly

Role Summary:

The role is pivotal in advancing the College's mission to support students, employers, and the broader community. As a part-time educator, you will deliver high-quality instruction and vocational training within a safe and conducive learning atmosphere. Collaborating effectively with students, faculty, and staff is essential to enhance the college's community and its educational offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate and oversee educational experiences for students in accordance with the established curriculum and evaluation methods.
  2. Encourage job readiness and professionalism, guiding students in their employment search and career development.
  3. Collaborate with departmental colleagues to ensure compliance with program standards and accreditation requirements, including metrics such as completion rates, job placements, and retention.
  4. Maintain accurate academic records for students, including attendance and course completions as necessary.
  5. Ensure a safe and organized training environment by managing supplies and equipment effectively.
  6. Introduce new students to classroom resources, technology, and expectations regarding performance and safety.
  7. Adhere to the designated program budget.
  8. Establish and nurture relationships with industry partners.
  9. Contribute to the creation and delivery of specialized courses as needed.
  10. Facilitate effective communication across all levels of responsibility.
  11. Engage in departmental and college-wide meetings as required.
  12. Foster a collegial atmosphere in interactions with college personnel.
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To be considered fully qualified, candidates should possess:

Education: A High School Diploma is required; a certificate in Welding is preferred.

Certifications:

  • AWS Certified Welding credential is preferred.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with CWI certification.

Experience: A minimum of three years of relevant industry experience is required.

Background Check: Candidates must successfully pass a background check.

Work Environment:

This position is situated in a conventional educational setting. In certain programs, there may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents and the associated risks of industry-specific equipment.
